Ask me what kind of smoothie I want? It's mango, every time. So when I got out my blender determined to make a healthy dessert for my kids to help beat the summer heat, it was clearly going to be a mango smoothie (because mama was always going to take a tax).

Smoothies with milk as the base tend to make my stomach a bit uncomfortable--I'm not lactose intolerant by any stretch, but I just prefer something a little lighter. The solution for a lighter liquid base? Tropical Passage Mango Peach. The OJ adds a nice note, and the mango flavor just boosts the whole experience. The thickness comes from the yogurt, banana, and frozen mango chunks.

As soon as the baby was done freaking out over how loud the blender was, I served my kids up and waited for their opinion.

Which they weren't able to give because they were too busy downing the results.

Yes, they appear very serious and potentially unimpressed. Don't be fooled. It's their extreme focus in sucking down every bit of that delicious smoothie.

Conclusion: nearly as good as a milkshake. Just keepin' it real here. =)

Here's the recipe for this delicious Mango Lassi-inspired smoothie experience!

Tropical Mango Smoothie

1 ½ cups Tropical Passage Mango Peach
1 banana
¾ cup vanilla Greek yogurt
1 ½ cups frozen mango chunks
Optional garnish: lime slices and mint

Blend all ingredients together until smooth! Garnish with lime and mint.

Enjoy!!
